The vanishing newspaper...?

Let's be honest, no one can predict the future, unless you're a fortune teller.
Although the height of newspapers is gradually declining, we have no way of really knowing when they will disappear completely.
Most students find it easier to check the news online, rather than physically picking up or even purchasing a paper, especially because of the terrible economy. I'm not so worried that newspapers may disappear, I'm more concerned that by the time me and my fellow journalism students graduate, there will be no jobs for us.
"There will still be jobs, I just think there will be fewer of them," says Dave Erdman, editor of the Morning Call. "News is always going to be at the core of what we do, I believe that."
It's more important to be able to relay news to people, no matter how you do it. Television, radio, internet will still be around even if newspapers are not.
Although, I'm worried about the amount of jobs there will be in the next few years, I remember that there's always going to be news. As long there is news, there is journalism. As long as there is journalism, hopefully there will be jobs.

You're right, there will always be news and there will always be some form of journalism. However, it's true that newspapers seem to be disappearing as people tend more and more to turn to online news sources. (Continued…)
