Spring Fusion will be hit

"Personal Goodness, Planetary Wellness" is the theme of Spring Fusion, a new event to be celebrated April 18 on the Main campus.
"The theme is intended to focus on taking care of the body, mind and environment," said Deb Bohr, who is the Service Learning administrator involved in the event.
Learning how to manage stress and take care of yourself and your body are some of the topics to be being addressed under "personal goodness."
The "planetary wellness" part of the event will educate audiences on how to live differently and more "green" to help the environment by learning what to do now.
Food, entertainment, demos and workshops are some of the attractions.
Representatives from Northampton County, CEI Networks, Natural Awakenings Magazine and others will give workshops and information about composting, solar energy, and healthy living, said Thea Lind, the college's director of Special Events and Donor Relations.
"There will also be demonstrations for yoga, green living, gardening, arts and crafts, and various dance styles," she said.
Spring Fusion is intended not just for NCC's student population, but for the entire community. College organizations involved are branching out to educate the community on living healthier lives.
Spring Fusion is something new. "We're not quite sure what to expect," said Frank Pologruto, director of Student Life.
The Student Senate, Environmental Task Force and Wellness Committee are working closely on preparations for the event, to be held from noon to 4 p.m. April 18 in the Spartan Center.
