Sober living through technology

Let's face it; college students are always looking to have a good time. Attending parties and maybe drinking a little too much can get you into trouble, especially if there's a computer near by. Since drinking brings out your emotions, you may feel the sudden urge to e-mail someone, and tell them how you really feel.
Thanks to Google, you may be able to prevent that. Google Mail has a new feature called Mail Goggles, which prevents you from sending something you may regret the next morning. You just add the application onto your G-mail account and set the time settings to times you think you may "have a little too much." It automatically is set to protect you on weekends late at night, but allows you to alter it to fit your lifestyle.
"Drunk Emailing" as defined by Urban Dictionary says; While completely inebriated you foolishly believe: 1) You're a prolific writer. 2) You're Poetic. 3) You're a comedian. 4) Not saving your sent messages will save you from complete and total embarrassment (this only leads you to wonder what the heck you actually did say after typing for two hours.) 5) Spell check hides your obvious drunkenness.
Although Urban Dictionary is just for fun, it certainly explains the effects of what can happen if you make a poor decision.
"My parents e-mailed me when I was drunk and I e-mailed them back, but surprisingly it was good," Noah Mayer, a student at NCC says.
Unfortunately, some aren't so fortunate. You wouldn't want to send an e-mail to your boss, telling him how much you hate him and want to quit your job, or your ex-girlfriend, who now knows you're still in love with her.
So when you go to send an e-mail, late on a Saturday night, after you've had a few, a box will pop up, asking you to solve some math problems in an allotted period of time. If you don't get them right, Google will tell you to have a glass of water and get some sleep.
Everyone makes mistakes in life; Google is just trying to help you make less.

Google Mail has a new feature called Mail Goggles, which prevents you from sending something you may regret the next morning. It is very convenient.

Lol I've actually been using the Mail Goggles feature in Gmail for about a year and I must say it does work, unless you're good at math. Sometimes it takes me 4 tries to get all the math problems correct in order to confirm that I am indeed in a proper mental state to be sending email. (Continued…)
